We Need Your Voice at Annual Town Meeting,
especially on Sunday, May 16th (Day #2)
Wayland High School TURF Football Field
12pm - 4pm (babysitting opens)
Town Meeting starts Sunday at 12:30
Attending Town Meeting on a Sunday is not easy, especially with young kids. We are running childcare to make it easier for parents to attend. At the same time, as we’ve done in years past, we aim to run super fun, outdoor activities for kids and their friends.
Both Girls and Boys' HS Lacrosse teams have graciously volunteered to run activities and provide supervision for our children. We are setting up 6 separate areas by age group and age-appropriate activity. Each area will be limited to 25 kids and right next to where parents will be sitting. See the aerial picture below.
Please bring your child with you to the registration table located behind the visitor bleacher’s, next to the football practice field (we will have signs posted). A volunteer will check you in, get your contact info, put a bracelet on your child and have you sign the Town’s voluntary release form and complete a Covid screening form.
Did we mention this service is free! A big thanks goes to WHS lacrosse team, their coaches & the Wayland Athletic Dept.
Children need to wear masks, be walkers, and our volunteers are unable to perform any diapering and/or administer any food. Please have kids bring their OWN water. Parents MUST remain at Town Meeting while children are under supervision (parents no sneaking off).
Parents get to do their civic duty (while being entertained) by Town Meeting and kids get field-day, game like, fun activities with their peers! Win win!!!
